my time here in bonn is drawink to a close. i have sampled many wonderful kölsch, including but not limited to: päffgen, mühlen, früh, sion, and the also-rans of kurfürsten and gilden. i also put bönnsch and a weiss + kölsch concoction namens wieß down my throat with much enjoyment. christian and i had a german meal at the päffgen brewery; we each had variations on giant ham with sauce, buttery greenbeans and bratkartoffeln. two döners found their way into my stomach, both with freshly baked bread, though christian's favorite became mine as well, in the döner domicle known as locally "döner house." i'll probably have one for breakfast tomorrow as well. i was suprised to find a meal of raclette found me as well. yesterday's pizza dinner at tuscolo with julia's twin sisters was a fine example of the italian thincrust with spinach, gorgonzola and a crazy pile of garlic. i slurped down a currywurst today at citypick down by the train station without scoring any heroin. speaking of which, the new vollkorn prinzenrolle are nearly that addictive. the only reasonable antidote is an infusion of one of the many delicious varieties of ritter sport chocolate on offer, including a new favorite, cornflakes with peanuts. tonight's evening meal was semmelknödel with pfifferlings, bigfat green beans (not the kind you're thinking of, think fava), and bratkartoffeln. holycrap i am so full. guess i'll have to go drink some more bönnsch. juicebox 4eva!
