yesterday i wandered around brooklyn and then the lower east side. jake gave me an unlimited metrocard from someone at his hotel, so i was free to roam. i have been on the döner for breakfast and lunch diet (as created by h. cockrill) yesterday and today. yesterday was from bereket, on the LES. $5, so greasy it was running down my arm, and honestly, sadly not very good. the guy stuffed salad in first, then a wad of meat, then more salad on top, with runny tzatziki overtop. i washed it down with uludag GAZOZ, which is like sprite mixed with bubblegum flavor. today was better, from some corner market in the fashion/garment district in manhattan. $6 (+ free can soda at lunchtime), a bit smaller, but the tzatziki was de-lish, and the sandwich was constructed properly. my chest does hurt some now tho, after eating while walking.
uh, yeah, this whole place is insane. and, um, there are a lot of people here.
also, i have four keys to get from the street into my room of the apartment. there really should be five, but noone could find the key to the lock on the door to my room. and the dog in residence is named "cap'n" and is extremely laid back for a poodle.
i eat, drink, and occasionally think in nyc
